Lee’s Air is Raising $7,500 to Help Grant More Wishes
As members of our local community, Lee’s Air is always looking for ways to contribute to causes and organizations that help make Central California better. That’s why we have decided to partner with the Make-A-Wish of Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada in their Wish Your Way Program.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation aims to grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses across America. These wishes are more than just a nice, one-time event – they make tremendous impacts on the lives of children by giving them the courage to comply with medical treatment and bringing families and communities closer together.
Today, over 250 children are waiting for their wish to be granted in the eight-county area, and the Make-A-Wish foundation relies on local communities and organizations like Lee’s Air to reach as many of those children as possible.
When a child has their wish granted, they see a number of positive results.
- Over 80% of wish kids survive and thrive through medical treatment.
- 96% of medical referral sources say wish kids’ emotional health is improved by wishes, and 89% of health care professionals report that a wish influences a child’s physical health.
- 81% of parents say their child was more willing to comply with treatment after having their wish granted.
Through the Wish Your Way Program, Lee’s Air is raising money to go towards granting more of these life-changing wishes. Our goal is to fundraise $7,500 by August 31, 2020.
